ROLE DESCRIPTION PROJECT MANAGER

AvroKO is an award-winning design firm in headquartered in New York City, seeking a Project Manager for its Bangkok Office. We have work ranging from hospitality design (restaurants, bars, hotels) to retail and residential design, as well as graphics and original furniture and lighting products.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Manager acts as AvroKO’s primary interface between the AvroKO design team and the client and is primarily responsible for ensuring AvroKO performs to its contractual obligations by managing AvroKO’s

  • Scope of services.
  • Budget allocated to complete said services.
  • Schedule with in which to perform said services.
  • Timely production of deliverables.
  • Quality control of services rendered and instruments of service produced.

This is a project specific role that typically applies to multiple projects concurrently.

The Project Manager’s core responsibilities are;

Client Liaison

  • Oversee execution of professional services from a client perspective; ensure design is responding to client’s needs and vision.
  • Maintain client communications and contact, in particular for scope of work and services.
  • Obtain necessary client approvals.

Contract Management

  • Write proposals for new work and respond to requests for qualifications and proposals.
  • Liaises with Controller for contract billings and collections.
  • Oversee timely submittal and accurate coding of project reimbursables.
  • Manages and monitors scope and ensures execution and delivery based on executed proposal or contract; notifies clients of add-services as appropriate.
  • Oversee Purchasing (when part of scope); review scope, execute vendor agreements and purchase orders (jointly performed with Director of Furniture and FF&E)

Performance Management

  • Develops and manages project schedule and milestones to ensure project is on time.
  • Manages and monitors project budget.

Project Organization

  • Conducts weekly team meetings with staff assigned to job and other key project team members (e.g. Furniture Director, FF & E and Graphics Designer) to go over key compliance, financial, schedule and operational milestones.
  • Schedules and prepares for contractually scheduled meetings with Owner, GC and Principal in Charge.

Quality Assurance

  • Partners with Lead Designer to ensure conformance with Architecture Standards’ checklist requirements specific to each project design phase.
  • Assist the Senior Designer with quality assurance review of the project deliverables.
  • Oversee compliance with Office Standards

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS required. B. Arch or M. Arch degree preferred. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience at an architecture or interior design firm, with related hospitality field.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal- fluent in English and Thai, Mandarin an asset.
  • Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative, proactive and fast paced environment.
  • A range of conceptual and technical design skill sets yet with a strong tendency towards design and conceptualization.
  • Immediate start required.
